The Ammunition Box

During the Civil War, there were many different sizes of these made. The one we replicated was 1000 .58 caliber ball cartridges. It was used by both Union and Confederate forces. The Union model was painted and the Confederate one was plain. Ours has an oil finish and the cover is loose with locating slats.
